STUDY GRADE: 6th year Primary School
Piya presently studies in the sixth year of primary school. He is a smart student. His favorite subject is Thai and his favorite sports are soccer and volleyball. He likes to sing country songs and he used to be a school representative to compete in a singing contest. After school he always helps his family to do housework before doing his homework. He likes to listen to songs, watch television and he always achieved good a grade point average. He wants to be a teacher when he grows up. Piya’s parents separated in 2008 because his father drunk alcohol and played gambling. He had never taken responsibility to the family and after separated he got remarried and he has a daughter age 4 years old. He has never sent money to Piya since then. Piya’s mother left Piya with his grandparents and she goes to work in Bangkok. She sends 1,500-2,000 baht a month home and she comes back to visit during high seasons. Piya’s grandparents are farmers but they have no rice field of their own. They rent 6 rais of rice field from their neighbor for rice farming and they get 50 sacks of rice a year, they share 15 sacks of rice to the owner of rice field as a rental and store the rest for their family’s consumption throughout the year. After rice farming his grandparents his grandparents work as casual workers in the village such as rice farming, weeding for 250 baht a day. They sometimes go out fishing for food.

STUDY GRADE: 3rd Primary School
Kanyanat presently studies in the third year of primary education . The school fees and the activities at the school is about 5,000 baht a semester. She achieved a grade point average of 3.96, she likes to draw and paint pictures. Her favorite subject is Computer and after school she always helps her family to do housework. Her father is employed to work at a construction shop and he takes responsibility to produce bricks and delivery goods to customers. He receives 300 baht a day. Her mother works at preparation section at Regina Center and she receives 10,000 baht a month. Kanyanat’s family rent 5 rais of rice field for rice farming and they get about 60 sacks of rice a year for their family’s consumption throughout the year. Her parents has a loan with an illegal creditor that they borrowed to invest in rice farming as well as spending in their family. Kanyanat presently lives with her grandparents and her uncle in another village because her parents have to go around far from home selling goods and they have no time to take care of their children. Kanyanat’s grandparents are farmers, they rent 10 rais of rice field for rice farming and they get 100 sacks of rice and they share 30 sacks of rice as a rental to the owner of rice field. Her grandfather raises 4 cows and 10 buffaloes and her grandmother is employed to clean road in the community from 09.00am.-11.00am. for 5,000 baht a month. Her uncle is employed to repair vehicles at Jieng Nongkhai Shop for 7,500 baht a month.

STUDY GRADE: 1st year Kindergarten School
Theerapat presently studies in the first year of School. He has good develop, lively and he is practicing to read and write. He always accompanies his family to do rice farming and he wants to be a policeman when he grows up.
His family is a big family, there are his grandparents, his parents, his older sister and brother and he himself. They are farmers and they do rice farming on 8 rais of rice field, they get about 48 sacks of rice a year and they store their production for their family’s consumtion throughout the year. After rice farming his parnets work as casual workers such as building in the town of Nongkhai, rice farming, weeding for about 300 baht a day each. His father sometimes hunts for food, anyway he is not well the caused from having an operation as well as smoking cigarette. They take care of Theerapat’s grandparents. His grandfather has a humpback and he helps to do rice farming and take care of the house. His step older sister is 23 years old, she presently studies in the second year of Bachelor’s Degree at Rajabhat Udonthani University. His step older brother is 18 years old, he studies in the first year of Pre-Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern Technology College.

STUDY GRADE: 4th year Primary school
Jirapat presently studies in the fourth year of primary education. He is a lively boy. His favorite subject is Thai. He likes to play soccer and sing songs, he wants to be a policeman when he grows up. Her family does rice farming they do 5 rais of rice field and they get about 40 sacks of rice a year only because it is on a high land that causes less water for the rice field. They share 25 sacks of rice to sell in order to pay for fertilizer and they store they rest for their family’s consumption, anyways they have to buy more for their family if it is not enough. After rice farming his parents go to work at a construction site in Bangkok and they send 3,000 baht home a month. Jirapat and her younger sister therefore have to live with her great-grandmother who is old and she could not go to work she only looks after her grandchildren at home. She receives 700 baht a month from the elderly fund of the government. Jirapat’s younger sister presently studies in the second year of kindergarten education at the same school.

STUDY GRADE: 3rd year Primary school
Saranyu presently studies in the third year of primary School. He likes to draw and paint picture, plays soccer and after school he does housework. His parents still has no house of their own they live with Sarayu’s grandparents at a single storey cement house that has two bed rooms with many members in the house. There are Sarayu’s grandparents, his uncle and his wife, his cousin, his parents, his younger sister and Sarayu himself. His grandfather and his father work at a construction site in the town of Nongkhai and each of them receive 280-300 baht a day. His mother, his grandmother and his aunt in law are employed to clean roads in the town of Nongkhai since 04.00-07.00 am. and they may go to work as casual workers such as weeding, digging etc. for their living. Sarayu’s uncle works as a driver delivery goods for 9,000 baht a month. His cousin is 4 years old, she presently studies in pre-kindergarten education and his younger sister is in the first year of kindergarten education.
Chanin’s father died in 2011 in case of cirrhosis, he therefore has to live with his grandmother alone. His mother took his younger sister with her to live in a province far from home and she works as a casual worker and she sends 1,000 – 2,000 baht a month home. His grandmother is old and she could not work hard she only receives 700 baht a month from the Elderly Fund of the government to pay the household expenditure. His grandmother is not well and her eyes could not see clearly so she always has to wear glasses. It was effected from being in an incubator when she was born. After school he helps his grandmother to do housework. On weekends and vacation he helps his relatives or his neighbor to sell clothes around a flea market for 200 baht a day in order to earn money for his food, anyway they are in trouble because of their income less than their expenditure.
Chanwit’s parents separated since his father got pregnant to him and his mother got remarried in 2005. His mother and his step mother live with HIV/Aids and they take an anti-virus medicine often they therefore are in good health and they can be able to work well. His step father works as a gardener at the Friendship Garden and his salary is 6,000 baht. Chanwit is unable to hear well it was in case of ear inflammation as well as his mother so when they speak they have to speak loudly. His mother works at Hands of Hope Project and her salary is 5,000 baht. She goes to work by the project’s mini bus every day. The main income of the family comes from his step father and his mother. Both of his parents receive HIV/Aids Allowance for 1,000 baht a month altogether. Chanwit’s younger sister presently studies in the fourth year, her mother took anti-virus from mother to child and after she was born she has been checked HIV/Aids fourth times already and the result came out negative from HIV/Aids. Chanwit presently studies in the second year of high school at Namsuey Wittaya School, he goes to school by mini bus that charges 300 baht a month. He is talented in playing guitar and sing songs. After school he helps to do housework and he practices playing guitar.
Emboon’s parents died because of HIV/Aids, Emboon and her older brother therefore live with their grandparents who earn for living by rice farming. They do rice farming 5 rais a year and they get about 50-60 sacks of rice a year for their family’s consumption and they also sell some sacks in order to pay for the investment and for their household expenditure. After rice farming they do gardening for food and sell some. Emboon has two aunts, first one works at a hotel in Pooket province and she sends 2,000 baht home a month for the household expenditure and for schooling of Emboon and her older brother. The second one works at hotel in Pooket as well but she got married and she seldom sends money home. Emboon’s older brother presently studies in the sixth year of primary school, unluckily she was infected from her parents and she sometimes got rashes on her body which needs to see a doctor regular. Anyway she presently receives an anti-virus and it makes her better health. Emboon presently studies in the third year of primary school and they both are in the same school. She is a lively girl, shy and after school she always helps her grandmother to do housework and she accompanies her grandmother to her rice field.
Jakkarin’s mother died because of cancer in 2015 and his father got an accident, his motorcycle hit a car in 2014 while going to work. His leg broke and it got inflammation because he tried to work for the family. Sometimes when he has no job he hunts for food. He rents 3 rices of rice field that charges 3,000 baht a year and it usually produces 25 sacks of rice a year but it is sometimes not enough for the family’s consumption throughout the year. Jakarin’s older brother is 15 years old, he formerly lived in a monkhood but he did las sikkabt after the death of his mother in order to find a job to support the family. He works as a casual worker in the village such as digging and weeding for 100-200 baht a day. Jakarin’s younger brother presently studies in the third year of primary school and Jakarin himself is in the fifth year of primary school. They both go to school by bicycle. After school Jakarin goes fishing for food. He is a school soccer player and he wants to be a policeman when he grows up.
Kanjana’s parents separated in 2006 because her mother has a new husband and she moved to live with him. She has two sons with him they are 10 years old and 9 years old. Kanjana therefore has been living with her grandmother since then. Her father has never supported Kanjana and they heard in 2015 about his death. He got an accident fell down from a pick up while going to work. Kanjana presently lives with her grandmother and her uncle at a dilapidated house that let rainfall falling down from the roof while it is raining and it has no electricity but they use lantern instead. Her grandmother has 3 rais of rice field but since she is old she therefore could not do rice farming. She therefore let her neighbor to do rice farming instead and she gets 5-10 sacks of rice as a rental. Her uncle works at a construction site in the town of Nongkhai for 300 baht a day and he takes responsibility to all the household expenditure. Her grandmother is not well, she always gets pains on legs and her waist. Kanjana presently studies in the second year of secondary education and she achieved a grade point average of 75%, she likes to draw and paint pictures. Her favorite subject is Thai and after school she always helps to do housework before doing her homework. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
Morakot’s father works as a driver taking a salesman to sell snack, fish sauce etc. at many provinces. After her mother gave birth to Morakot. She went away and then got remarried. Morakot’s aunt brought Morakot to her grandmother since she was only 1 year 8 months and her father sends her 4,000 baht a month. In 2009 both eyes of her grandmother got glaucoma. She got three operations and it was finally blind. Her aunt, her older brother and her relatives help to look after her. In 2016 they heard that Morakot’s mother passed away because of blood stream infection. Morakot has two older brothers, the eldest brother got married and moved to live with his wife in Bangkok, the other presently studies in the third year of vocation training school in Accounting. After school he goes to work at a grill meat restaurant for 6,000 baht a month and he shares to his grandmother in order to pay for the household expenditure. Morakot presently studies in the sixth year of primary school, her favorite subject is Thai and she likes to play volleyball. She wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
Supachat’s family does not do rice farming because they have no rice field of their own. They therefore work as casual workers. His father works at a construction site in the village for 300 baht a day but it is not provided every day. His mother is Lao, she works as a housekeeper around the village. She sometimes harvests some vegetables to sell at a market and she receives 150-200 baht a time. Supachat has one step older sister she is 16 years old and she completed secondary school at a school in Lao but since they had no money to support her. She then came to find a job in Nongkhai. She got a job to do at a noodle restaurant for 250 baht a day it is just enough for her personal expenditure only. Supachat has one older brother he is 11 years old and he presently studies in the fifth year of primary school in Lao and he lives with his grandparents. Supachat himself is in the first year of kindergarten education at Anuban Tambon Wat That School, his father sends him to school every day. He likes to draw pictures, sings songs and he is a lively boy and talkative. He wants to be a policeman when he grows up.
Supanuch’s parents separated in 2016 while they were in Bangkok, her father has a new wife and since he moved to live in Ubonratchatani province he has never contacted home. Her mother works at a shop selling swimming suits at a department store in Bangkok for 9,000 baht a month and she sends 4,000 baht a month home. Her mother has to take responsibility to pay for house rental that is 2,000 baht a month. Supanuch and her younger brother live with their grandparents and their uncle. Her family do rice farming on 5 rais of rice field and they get 70 sacks of rice a year, it will be stored for their family throughout the year and they sell 30 sacks of rice in order to pay for the train ticket, fertilizer and wages. After rice farming her grandparents do gardening such as morning glory, lettuce for business. It is just enough to pay for the household expenditure. Her grandfather is not well in case of drinking alcohol and her grandmother gets sick with herniated disc pulpous and she needs to take medicine often. Her family has to take care of Supanuch’s uncle who gets sick with herniated disc pulpous and he has to use a cane walker. He earns by collecting garbage that could be recycle to sell. Supanuch’s younger brother studies in the 2ns year kindergarten. Supanuch studies in the 4th year primary school. She goes to school by school car and pay 500 baht per month. After school she helps her family to do house work. She wishes to be swimming’s teacher in the future.
Wannalekha’s family has no rice field of their own. Her father works at a construction site in the town of Nongkhai for 300 baht a day but it is not many job to do during the rainy season. Her mother gets sick with allergy that causes pain around her body and she could not work hard, she only looks after her children at home and she does housework. She sometimes cooks food to order at home and she receives 80-100 baht a day. Wannalekha has one step older brother and one younger sister. Her step older brother works as a staff in Seven-Eleven shop for 300 baht a day and he gives 3,000 baht a month to the family in order to pay for the utilities and food. Her younger sister presently studies in the third year or primary school and Wannalekha herself is in the fifth year of primary school, both of them are in the same school. Wannalekha’s favorite subject is Mathematics and she likes to draw and paint pictures. She wants to be a teacher teaching Mathematics when she grows up.

STUDY GRADE: 5th year primary school
Waraporn’s family has no the rice field therefore every year they have to buy sack of rice for consume all year. Waraporn’s father goes Bangkok to works as a building Contractor daily paid worker. He sends 3,000-4,000 to family every month. He visits home on the festivals and holidays about 2 or 3 time per year. He can stays for 4-5 days each time because he has to work. Waraporn’s mother works as a casual worker in the village such as employee to work on the rice field, cut sugar canes and other. She gets 280-300 baht per day but has no job every day.
Waraporn’d younger brother is 7 years old and he will study in the 1st year primary school in academic year 2017. Waraporn will study in the 5th year primary school in this May 2017. She likes to go to school every day. Last semester, she achieves a grade point average of 77%. She is cheerful girl. She likes to draw and studies English. After school she helps her mother to do some housework as she can do and take care of her younger brother. She wishes she were teacher in the future.
